Sanjayamma Aged Woman Care, this is Sanjayamma. She came to New Hope with a grandson who was orphaned and HIV+. After several years she left. In those 2 years she helped anywhere she was asked. When I was in New Hope Hospital with a ‘silly’ injury to my knee – but very painful. She came and cared for me in so many ways. The she vanished!!! – Ruth fond her, mentally disorientated two years later in our local market.
She has a room for herself at the side of the First Aid Clinic – the only room now available for aged persons. Other rooms all full. This week I visited New Hope – She called me as she thought I was her grandson. I went along with this as it made her happy. She asked me to come and eat with her. (She doesn’t realize that the meals that appear are from New Hope kitchen).I am telling you this, because although it’s sad – she is in her way happy – and certainly more cared for than many aged. (We also have a woman squatting in the Bus Shelter we built down the road. Our senior students take her meals. Sanjayamma Aged Woman Care

Thank you Vasu for this latest post. It is beautiful to see hope restored to many. Even though Sanjayamma may be mentally disoriented, she is being well cared for physically and socially at the Aged Care Centre. For all the care New Hope India extend to those that are with you. Keep up the great work you are doing with the New Hope India website. Kind Regards Philip and Pierina Lloyd.
